ASTM A53A is a kind of hot-dip galvanized pipe with good quality. It is a common general structure pipe material, but it is not suitable for high temperature and high pressure environment. We can customize different outer diameter, wall thickness and length according to customer requirements.
The atmospheric corrosion resistance of hot dip galvanizing is better than that of electro galvanizing. The thickness of electro galvanized coating is generally 5-15 μ M. the thickness of hot-dip galvanizing layer is more than 35 μ m, even up to 200 μ M. the coating is dense and free of organic inclusions. Zinc has excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion, which has two properties: mechanical protection and electrochemical protection. Under atmospheric corrosion conditions, there are ZnO, Zn (OH) 2 and alkaline zinc carbonate protective films on the surface of zinc layer, which can slow down the corrosion of zinc. When the zinc layer is seriously damaged and endangers the iron matrix, zinc produces electrochemical protection on the matrix, zinc is dissolved into anode, and iron is protected as cathode. It can be seen that hot dip galvanizing is more corrosion resistant than electro galvanizing.
